Velvet Ground - 13" Meditation Cushion

Inviting the body to settle downward, the Velvet Ground meditation cushion holds you close to the earth, keeping you grounded and present. It offers a quiet foundation for stillness, breath, and return.

The quilted hexagon symbolizes balance, harmony, and the union of opposites. Echoing patterns found in nature, it reflects the integration of energies and the subtle structure that connects the material and unseen worlds.

• Brown/tan houndstooth corduroy (95% cotton, 5% lycra), sourced in Downtown Los Angeles for a fashion school project in 2005.
• Brown velvet (100% cotton), deadstock from Fabric Planet in Venice Beach.
• Vintage cotton fabrics, turquoise border and turquoise/brown floral, gifted by Amy in Colorado.
• Brown dotted cotton, an Asian-inspired quilt fabric by Robert Kaufman, purchased in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles.

Filling:
A blend of organic buckwheat hulls, organic hemp hulls and organic latex from Open Your Eyes bedding in New York.
